SOHH had the amazing opportunity to watch an early screening of Whitney Houston’s biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody. Here are some of the positive and negative takeaways from the anticipated film.

The highly-anticipated biopic, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, had outstanding celebrity support. Musical artists Rotimi and Da Brat, including media personality TS Madison and others, also attended the red-carpet event. 

R&B singer and Grammy Award-winner Monica hosted the special event. SOHH had the exclusive opportunity to attend and view the film. Now, we’re giving fans the scoop on what to watch out for, including the pros and cons. 

Viewers will get a deeper dive into the life of Whitney and her relationship with her ex-assistant and creative director, Robyn Crawford, like you’ve never seen before. Whitney’s family directly tells the story.

However, the casting was the least favorite of our correspondent in terms of appearance. On the other hand, the music was from the iconic Whitney performances that may make you nostalgic and relive the moment. 

Whitney Houston’s biopic, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, will be in theaters Thursday, December 22.
