The father of Atlanta rapper Young Thug, Jeffery Williams, Sr., is sharing his opinion on what he should do ahead of his RICO case. Williams Sr. said Young Thug, Jeffery Williams, Jr., should not take a plea deal.

During the YouTube video, content creator Infamous Sylvia asked Williams Sr. if Young Thug’s label YSL was a gang.

“YSL is a record label,” Williams Sr. said. “The state made YSL a gang. The city made YSL a gang.”

Williams Sr. also said YSL stands for “Young Stoner Life” and not “Young Slime Life” and denied that it is a gang. Further in the interview, Infamous Sylvia asked Williams Sr. how he felt about YSL members taking plea deals in the case.

“Fear” said Willams Sr. “That’s an A-1 token for the system.”

Williams Sr. also added that certain members of YSL are taking plea deals because they are “scared” or “uneducated” about how the justice system works. Fellow Atlanta rapper and YSL member Gunna was released last month on a plea deal after being incarcerated since May 2022.

Along with his RICO charges, Young Thug was also charged with street racing in Atlanta last month.

Last December, Atlanta rapper Young Thug received good news as a judge ruled that cellphones and evidence seized from his home in 2015 can’t be used as evidence in his RICO case.
