According to Billboard, West Coast rap legend Snoop Dogg, R&B songstress Sade, and the King of New Jack Swing, Teddy Riley, are among the 2023 Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees.

Snoop Dogg, who is the new owner Of Death Row Records, will be honored for writing hits such as “Drop It Likes It’s Hot,” “Nuthin But a G Thang,” “Young, Wild & Free,” “Gin & Juice,” and “The Next Episode.” The rapper turned entrepreneur remains unstoppable as his upcoming biopic about his life is on the way—and also teamed up with music executive Master P, releasing the first Black-owned cereal brand.

Sade, who has received compliments from many rappers, including Queens rapper Nas will be honored for her hits such as “Smooth Operator,” “No Ordinary Love,” “The Sweetest Taboo,” “By Your Side,” and “Is It A Crime.”

Teddy Riley, known for his works with R&B groups Guy and Blackstreet, will be honored for his songwriting on material with Keith Sweat’sMake It Last Forever” and “I Want Her,” along with Johnny Kemp’s  “Just Got Paid,”  as a member of  Guy’s  “I Like,” and Bobby Brown’s  “My Prerogative.”

Other artists that will be inducted will be Glen Ballard, Gloria Estefan, Jeff Lynne, and Liz Rose. The ceremony will take place on June 15 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

Rap greats Lil Wayne, Missy Elliott, and Dr. Dre will all be honored by The Recording Academy during Grammy Weekend at the Black Music Collective

They will all be honored for their music career contributions on Feb. 2 in Los Angeles.
