Allow Us to Re-Introduce Ourselves
todayNovember 22, 2024 458 65 4

November is coming to a close — but that doesn’t mean new music still isn’t dropping. And boy, did it drop.
First off, Kendrick Lamar came out of absolutely nowhere with GNX, a cinematic new album that will probably be the talk of the industry for the rest of the year. And that’s just the beginning.
Summer Walker also just dropped two alternative versions of her latest song, “Heart of a Woman”: one accompanied by the sounds of a stormy backdrop and the other paired with the sounds of a crackling fireplace.
There’s also Michael Kiwanuka’s Small Changes, the artist’s fourth album and the follow-up to 2019’s Kiwanuka.
But the main release of note is Boldy James and Harry Fraud’s collaborative project, The Bricktionary, which is entirely produced by Fraud himself.
Each week, Okayplayer will deliver a roundup of all the latest new heat from some of our favorite artists. Check out the latest offerings below.
Summer Walker offers two alternative versions of her new song, “Heart of a Woman”: one for rainy days, and the other for when you’re snuggled up next to your fireplace (hopefully you have one just to get the full effect).
Lil Nas X follows up the upbeat “Light Again!” with “Need Dat Boy,” a moody and vulnerable track.
The Louisville rapper drops “Go,” his latest release since August’s “Never Need” with Selfpaid Savage.
Kendrick Lamar surprised everyone by returning with GNX, a new LP that arrives nearly seven months after his explosive Drake diss, “Not Like Us.”
Kiwanuka’s fourth album is an 11-track release that serves as the follow-up to 2019’s Grammy-nominated Kiwanuka.
The new mixtape from the rising Atlanta rapper ends with a song titled “Teen Gohan.” Truly one of the best song titles of the year.
The Detroit rapper’s new mixtape is a 16-track release that includes fan favorites like “PTP,” “Fast Dudes” and “Hyprocrite.”
Boldy and Fraud’s collaborative album finally releases, with the pair getting some feature assistance from Benny the Butcher, Tee Grizzley and Babyface Ray.
Months after being released from prison, Sheff G is back with Proud of Myself, a new LP featuring Polo G, Sleepy Hallow and all the terse street raps folks have come to expect from the BK representer.
