Bronx rapper Cardi B said people “might as well eat outside” decrying the spiked grocery prices after she noticed her grocery receipts. She particularly noted the cost of lettuce, once $2 now costs $7.

Cardi B, who is known for speaking up at the forefront of issues that harm marginalized communities, explosively ranted on Twitter about the rapidly rising prices of food at grocery stores.

The “Hot Sh*t” rapper said she wasn’t thinking of her own pockets but the financial status of those in the middle class and also lower-income families. 

The “Up” artist is known for her community service projects and even attended a back-to-school event with the organization Community Capacity Development. CCD is known to give resources to communities of color to help them combat oppression. 

Cardi shared her experience on her Instagram page but did want to address an issue with the algorithm on her live stream.  The Invasion of Privacy artist didn’t even hold back during the Buffalo Massacre in New York. Expressing on Twitter, that she did not want the “mentally ill” community to be demonized for the acts of one individual. 

Cardi B also took the opportunity to shed light on her relationship with her husband, Offset. When it came to house hunting, Bardi shared they went 50/50 on it.
