Coi Leray isn’t pleased with Latto’s reference to her petite figure on the new single, “Put it On Da Floor.” “Smoking on that gas blunt big as Coi Leray / Bitches like to run they mouth, but I’m the type to run a fade,” Latto, legal name Alyssa Stephens, raps on the track.

On Friday morning (April 21) Leray reacted to the song in a series of tweets, after previously speaking out on body shaming.

Other lines on “Put it On Da Floor,” which was performed at Coachella last weekend, seem to be pointed at Nicki Minaj, who Latto began beefing with last year. Minaj seemingly clapped back on singles “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” and most recently, the “Princess Diana” remix with Ice Spice, who she’s crowned the ‘princess.’

Although Latto hasn’t yet responded to Leray’s tweets, the two rappers were last in the same public conversation surrounding Leray’s 2022 Nicki Minaj-assisted single “Blick Blick.” More than 100 reference tracks from Latto leaked online, including a demo of “Blick Blick,” some lines that were used on the song’s final version.

“It’s unfortunate what happened to Latto,” Leray said on Instagram Live last year. “I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. It’s fucked up, it’s foolish. There’s a lot of hard work that a lot of people put into the music — not only the artist, but the producers. And for people to go and leak something that’s precious to somebody is corny.”

Leray, who released her debut LP, Trendsetter, last year, appears on the remix to RAYE’s “Flip A Switch,” which dropped today.
