In December 2022, Gunna was released from prison after entering a guilty plea deal to a racketeering charge in the contentious RICO court case. However, YSL founder Young Thug has refused to take a deal and still remains behind bars.
Since being released, the “Pushing P” artist logged back into his Instagram to announce his official return.
“N****s acting like they switching to a side but it’s only one side,” his post read. He also added “free Young Thug” and another individual named “Yak.”
Gunna may be referring toYak Gotti, another rapper affiliated with YSL, who’s been featured alongside Thugger and Gunna in tracks including “Wunna Flo,” “Slatty,” and the aptly-titled “Take It To Trial.”
Following his plea deal in the YSL crew RICO case and less than 24 hours since his release, Gunna hit the streets with $100K to donate to 1000 Atlanta families in honor of his fifth annual “Gunna’s Great Giveaway.” The “Pushin’ P” rapper took to his Instagram account and made the exciting announcement.
