Kid Cudi will swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth at Diddy‘s sex crimes trial this week when he is called to testify against the disgraced mogul.

Kid Cudi’s Testimony Looms in Diddy Trial After Cassie’s Car Bombing Allegations

CNN reports that Kid Cudi will be taking the stand this week to tell his side of the story after Diddy allegedly set fire to and blew up his car in 2012, according to prosecutor Maurene Comey.

The self-proclaimed Man on the Moon will likely testify this Thursday after Diddy’s former employee George Kaplan, who quit after witnessing Diddy’s physical abuse against Cassie, takes the stand.

Last week, during her testimony at trial, Cassie admitted that Diddy apparently became “irate” when he found out she was dating Kid Cudi in 2011. Armed with this info, Diddy allegedly told her that Cudi’s car would be blown up in his driveway. In 2012, the Porsche blew up. Since Cassie and Diddy were in an on-again, off-again relationship, the Bad Boy Entertainment founder seemed to be jealous of the situation. She also testified that he threatened to release sexually explicit videos of her from the freak offs. Cassie claimed under oath that she stopped dating Cudi after Diddy threatened to “hurt” her and the rapper.

Cassie’s rape lawsuit against Diddy in 2023 included the bombshell allegations that Diddy blew up Cudi’s ride. “In February 2012 … Mr. Combs told Ms. Ventura that he was going to blow up Kid Cudi’s car and that he wanted to ensure that Kid Cudi was home with his friends when it happened,” the lawsuit read. “Around that time, Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway. Ms. Ventura was terrified as she began to fully comprehend what Mr. Combs was both willing and able to do to those he believed had slighted him.”

Shortly after the suit was filed, Cudi confirmed in a statement published by The New York Times that “this is all true.”

Last year, details of Kid Cudi’s car being set on fire was corroborated by a Los Angeles City Fire Department’s arson report. The rapper’s Porsche was set on fire by an “incendiary device” at his Los Angeles home on Jan. 9, 2012, causing an estimated $10,000 in damages.
