Fans speculated on Twitter that a possible “Gucci Mane Curse” could be in effect. Gucci’s wife, Keyshia Ka’oir, defended her husband. She posted the receipts, proving that the label owner indeed paid Big Scarr’s funeral cost after being accused of reneging.

In December 2022, late 1017 rapper Big Scarr passed away after overdosing on prescription pills at his girlfriend’s house. In the wake of his untimely passing, Guwop offered to pay for the “Freestyle” rapper’s funeral.

Recently, Quezz Ruthless, the late artist’s close friend, alleged that Gucci did not keep that promise.

“You Say To Them you finna pay for the funeral, then you lie,” Ruthless said on his Instagram Live. He also continued by saying, “You didn’t have to lie! You ain’t have to go ghost either, cuh. It was gonna get paid for either way.”

Ruthless also alleged that the “Lemonade” rapper used Keyshia’s birthday as an excuse when the family texted him to follow up on the costs. He says Gucci only cared about getting back his “1017 chains,” which Scarr’s sister Alexandra Woods later confirmed.

After her husband was publicly called out, Mrs. Guwop responded on her Instagram story with a photo. The photo reveals a funeral home receipt that was apparently emailed to a family member, which amounted to $10K.

Additionally, Keyshia mentioned that they sent flowers to Big Scarr’s family, where they did not receive “a thank you.”

Ka’oir also followed up on the receipts, saying, “Leave My Husband Alone!”

In December 2022, Bow Wow dissed Jermaine Dupri on Twitter by denying his claims of creating BET’s, 106 & Park. Once hosted by AJ and Free in the 2000s and later by the Bow Wow from 2012 until its cancellation in 2014.

So So Def artist Da Brat defended her longtime friend and label boss Dupri in a lengthy statement in response to Bow Wow on Instagram.
