The Night Tour featuring Maxwell, Anthony Hamilton and Joe descended upon The Toyota Center in Houston Texas on Friday.  Let’s just say that they smoked that stage so hot that by the end of the night, the crowd could “smell the BBQ.”

The concert opened up with just three letters – JOE – who had the packed arena primed, ready, and rocking from the start to the finish with hits like “More and More,” “I Wanna Know” and “All The Things.”

Recent Verzuz headliner Anthony Hamilton followed, dancing and sangin’ from the soul across the stage donning his signature fedora hat and an all-blue suit. Anthony’s voice sounded like perfection as he serenaded the majority female crowd with songs like, “Point Of It All”, “Best of Me” and “Charlene.” 

By the time headliner Maxwell hit the stage, all the Texans in the house “could smell the barbecue at the cookout.”  Maxwell’s set began with smoke filling the stage and colored lights flashing. Rocking his signature fro, the 90s heartthrob sang iconic tunes like “Lifetime”, “Fortunate”, and “Pretty Wings” as the audience swayed in unison.
