Depending on how long you’ve been a rap fan, it might seem like Paul Wall’s been around forever. If you let him tell it, he’ll be around for a lot longer.

In a new interview with the folks at Billboard, the Houston legend spoke on his love of music, and during the conversation, he explained just how much longer he’ll be dropping new tracks. While he’s speaking in some vague theoreticals rather than a concrete, year-by-year release plan, it’s clear he’s not playing around about unloading plenty of new tunes through the decades.

“I love making music,” Wall explained. “I 100 percent intend on doing this until I’m 80 years old. God willing. Especially in hip-hop, our elders a lot of it is they don’t have the opportunity to make music. I don’t take it for granted. I’m 43, so for the next 37 years, there’s going to be albums all over the place.”

Speaking of new albums, Wall recently unloaded one. Titled Once Upon a Grind, the LP includes features from Slim Thug, Z-Ro, Termanology, and more. Naturally, Paul Wall’s eternal fly guy rhymes are also present.
