On Wednesday, an alleged drug transaction between Young Thug and a co-defendant occurred during a court hearing.

Young Thug has been accused of conducting a hand-to-hand drug transaction during a recent court hearing. Fulton County prosecutors filed a motion alleging that Thug, legal name Jeffery Williams, was given a Percocet by co-defendant Kahlieff Adams, with the motion claiming that Adams “stood up from his chair (…) and walked unattended” to hand Williams the semi-synthetic opioid, according to CNN.

A surveillance video also captured the alleged transaction, where prosecutors said Williams tried to conceal it under the table.

Sheriff’s deputies confiscated the painkiller and searched Adams, who resisted. Adams was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital after “he appeared to ingest other items of contraband that he held on his person, in an effort to conceal the extent of his crimes within the courtroom.” During a search of Adams, deputies found Percocet, marijuana, tobacco, and other contraband that was “wrapped in plastic and food seasonings to mask the odor of the marijuana,” the motion read.

Keith Adams, one of Williams’ attorneys, said that the rapper was unaware of what was being handed to him. “His side is the truth. The reality is Mr. Williams had nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom on yesterday,” Adams told WSB-TV.

In a separate report from Rolling Stone, Brian Steel, another attorney representing Williams, said that the rapper doesn’t even know who Adams is.

Teombre Calland, an attorney representing Adams, also released a statement via text message to WSB-TV: “On behalf of Mr. Adams, these allegations are simply that: mere statements made by the state in an effort to thwart the lengthiness of the jury selection process.”

With his  trial underway, Williams is charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, participation in criminal street gang activity and additional charges.
